Fontainebleau Las Vegas and the Power Slap contest have announced a collaboration which will see the former become the host venue for the highly entertaining if slightly unorthodox sport for its upcoming edition.

Power Slap once again returns to the iconic Fontainebleau in Vegas

Styled as the world’s leading slap-fighting promotion, Power Slap is going to take the central stage at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for the eponymous Power Slap 12 competition. The venue will host five live events and also have the companies work together on offering fans exclusive on-site experiences that will contribute to the atmosphere and excitement.

Power Slap 12 is due to take place in the Cobalt Ballrooms on March 7, 2025, the organizers have confirmed. The event will feature a middleweight title match between Isaih “The Puerto Rican Pretty Boy” Quinones and Branden “The Butcher” Bordeaux

There is a lot at stake here, as Quinones has been able to knock out in four successive rounds, while Bordeaux is planning to cut his winning session short. Yet, Power Slap is not debuting at the Cobalt Ballroom at all.

The exact number of rounds varies, too, and depends on the event. Power Slap features 10 rounds of slapping.

As can be expected, this is a sport that has come under criticism from various health specialists, who have cautioned that fighters may experience brain damage and cognitive impairment.
